Baseball Hats

Someone gave M these hats and the girls found them in the truck. They were completely delighted with them and insisted on wearing them as soon as we got home from church. (I was mean and wouldn't let them wear them on the way to church....I guard my hair-combing results well.) Anyway, they thought that they should be playing baseball if they had hats like this, but really have no idea about how to play baseball except that you need a bat and a ball. M had the idea to play kickball, and we ended up having a really great time all playing kickball together. (Don't worry, mean mommy made them change out of their Sunday clothes first. :o) ) Even L got into it and would kick the ball 6" in front of herself and then, after we all cheered and yelled, "RUN! RUN!" she would run for second or third base. Good times.

P.S. Totally unrelated topic: The doll that L is holding is named Lucy and is her constant companion. Lucy really needs a bath, and if the story of the Velveteen Rabbit is true, I'll soon have a baby named Lucy around here.

awww...and this baby wouldn't ever grow up and leave you. Oh wait...that isn't what we want afterall is it? I love the way the hats fit down so well on their heads. Bet they'd be secure enough for a....breeze!
